Techniques and Tactics
 
 
Once the technology is installed and training undertaken so that they have become competent in technology use teachers have to come to terms with the potential offered by software packages. These may be either ‘installation’ packages coming with the interactive whiteboard, may be self-developed as a result of competence in the use of the installation opportunities, or purchase specialist hardware. The latter is often related to specific subject areas. Manipulatives are one of the beneficial uses of software and links to the net offer major opportunities in the humanities and language teaching.
